The trends for the upcoming 2014 fall season are the oversized coats, turtlenecks, Suits, wide trousers as well as flared skirts. These trends were seen all over the catwalks during NYFW, Milan FW as well as Paris FW. Checkout the following pics and more at my fall 2014 trends board:
For the longest time you hear about this rule of no white after labor day until memorial day. Well ladies, this is an ancient rule that is long outdated. As long as you are not wearing white summer clothes in the winter… you can rock white anytime of the year! The past couple of seasons showed us designers getting past this old rule and introduced white in their fall and winter collections. Enjoy : )
Flats are a must-have in any spring wardrobe. Comfy shoes that look chic are the best thing for your everyday activities. One of my favorite brands is London sole (London Sole). I love their styles. I wear them all spring season and summer as well. I have 4 of their pirouettes, but my favorite is the leopard flat with red trim shown below and you can get it here.
My other pirouettes are:
The pirouettes are recommended for people with narrow or medium feet. Definitely take the time to checkout their fit suggestion as well as their sizing because they are not standard. However, if you do get the wrong size, which I did the first time, they are super helpful when you call. They sent me the correct size at no extra charge, I just had to pay to ship back the pair that I had! I highly recommend them.
Spring 2014 is going to be fun. This season we’re going to see a lot of pastel colors. For designs there will be boxy cropped jackets, Contrast-Collar button-downs, Wide-leg trousers and Tea length skirts.

From work to dressy in no time…
Lazy weekend outfit… running around getting errands done. Stay warm!
This Fall / Winter 2013 – 2014 season we see predominantly big, boxy, cocoon silhouettes on the runway. Many designers like Chanel, Gucci and DKNY presented us with bulky outerwear. The shoulders are large and rounded. There is a masculine influence this season. It is shown in the sleeveless blazers and high waisted pants along with tailored suits.
Peplum will still be around next season. We can see it on Vera Wang‘s runway on the left as well as Moschino‘s runway on the right.
Texture and colors on the runway varied this season. Leather was very dominant as we can see on Louis Vuitton‘s runway as well as Prada and Hermès.
There was also a wide usage of fur, feathers, velvet, wool and plaids.
The colors of this season varied. We had grey, soft pink, camel, cognac, blue, purple, dark red, deep lichen green, white and black. Also we notice the common usage of the white top black bottom combination.
